Do I need martial arts experience?

No. Beginners are welcome, and the coaching team will help you understand what to expect during your first class.

What is the difference between Gi and No-Gi?

Gi classes use the traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uniform. No-Gi classes use athletic training clothing such as a rash guard and shorts. Both formats teach grappling, control, escapes, and submissions.

What should I wear for my first class?

Wear fitted athletic clothing without zippers, buttons, exposed metal, or hoodies. The academy will confirm whether you need a Gi for your scheduled class.

What is Jiu-Jitsu, and is it a martial art?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art. Instead of striking, you learn leverage, takedowns, control positions, escapes, and submissions. It is one of the most practical self-defence martial arts for kids and adults because technique matters more than size or strength.
